Southwold is one of those places that just feels good the moment you arrive. Colourful beach huts, a proper working lighthouse, the pier stretching out into the North Sea, and that mix of seaside charm with a bit of Suffolk calm.
It’s a brilliant place to explore on two wheels. The town itself is compact, but once you head out you’ve got some of the best coastal riding in the UK. Quiet lanes, big skies, and routes that take you through marshes, along the river, and into nearby villages like Walberswick or further down the coast towards Dunwich.
Food-wise, you’re spoilt. Fresh seafood, great pubs, and of course Adnams at the heart of the town, whether that’s a relaxed pint or something a bit more special, it’s all there.
