e-bike rental service

Our story

Born from a shared passion and a challenging moment in history, EEZYBIKE was created to bring sustainable travel, joy and wellbeing to communities and workplaces.

In June 2021, in the midst of the Covid pandemic, two friends - Martin, an accomplished Electrical Engineer with MD-level experience and Simon, a Senior Manager in Global Corporate Travel decided it was time for a change. They launched an e-bike rental service with a simple mission: to bring joy to communities, promote wellness and reduce our collective carbon footprint.

As lifelong cycling enthusiasts, we wanted to share the freedom and health benefits that cycling brings, especially at a time when people needed it most.

From the outset, we were committed to delivering more than just e-bikes. We focused on giving customers unforgettable days out, powered by clean energy. By 2022, we began developing our own automated, solar-powered e-bike shelters. These are secure units that charge and protect our bikes. Unlike many public schemes, our shelters keep bikes safe from theft or misuse, ensuring a clean, clutter-free environment for everyone.

Working closely with a local fabricator, we turned our vision into reality. At the end of 2023, our first EEZYPOD prototype was ready. We were honoured to receive the Innovation Award at the 2023 West Suffolk Business Awards, along with recognition from other industry bodies.

Our work soon caught the attention of climate-conscious councils. In partnership with Mid Suffolk District Council, we launched the EEZYBIKE e-bike scheme at Needham Lake. We are proud that our e-bike service has attracted 5-star reviews on Tripadvisor.
